Unknown specifically 450B. However the recoil impulse can be greatly reduced by a effecient muzzle BRAKE. I believe what would be as important is how "snappy" is the impulse. Any given impulse, spread over a longer duration of time is "less".
I see thermals on fairly light 308Win's shooting 165gr+ full power loads. If the Bushmaster has the longer bbl and other added equipment it could weigh upwards of 11lbs. (Inertia)
I feel that you will have a hard time getting the thermal manufacturer to "bless" a certain chambering. They might,a certain inertia rating.
I have shot both models of the 450B. To me,the recoil is akin to a 20ga gas gun, shooting a light dove/quail load. The 450B's recoil is a bit more snappy though.
Wondering how the 20" gun is gassed. Hopefully "rifle".
You might want to consider the JP Recoil Eliminator muzzle brake. Just have the exit hole opened to .472". --- pruhdlr
