I,am very happy with my new Nosler 48 Throphy in 06 today fit and finishes is outstanding. I had said it was a custom miss spoke looked at so many rifles did not get it right. It still, appears to be better fit than any Remmy 700 of the shelf. B&C stock aluminum and I think Kevlar bedding free float chromoly steel barrel cerakoted. With a trigger from Basik Trigger and Nosler receiver all built in OR.
I have 3 scopes in mind that I all ready have.
    1. Leuplod Mark 4 8.5x24 nope to heavy and not good for under a 100 yds
    2. Swarovski Z6i 1.5x10 42 mm objective it is the lightest by several oz.
    3. Leuplod VX-3L 3.5x10 56mm objective more light.

I'm look forward to,your input as always

I vote for the VX3L. Ideal for a very wide variety of situations with the exception of close in thick woods. But that isn't your rifles strong point anyway.

Of the three you listed, the Swarovski 1.5-10x42mm would be my vote.

But, that Vortex 1-6x on TLM's six8 would be my first choice.

I,was trying not to buy a new scope but do like the Vortex 1x6 they are replacing all the 1x4 That I have in Leuplod. Seems to be the next new thing. I,do have a few 3x9 that I like as well. Seems like the older I get the bigger the magnification

Funny you, should, say that I shot a deer with that scope on a 6.8 *** 18" barrel that H built the entire rifle. My first rifle in 6.8 60 yds in thick woods saw the deers neck between two trees and DTR. It was great

I've had scopes too heavy for my rifle, but never one too light . So I would go with the Sworo.

What are you going to use the rifle for and at what distances?

I'm a big fan of the Nikon w/BDC recticle.
They have an ap for your smartphone, you pick rifle, scope, bullet, range, enter hanload data, it grabs current weather from your location(temp, humidity, wind), hit fire & it tells you what bubble to hold on.
With this setup & a good rangefinder I have taken some AMAZING shots.
    Helluva scope for around $500.

Nikon glass in my opinion is superior to all those high $$ scopes as well.
I have taken pigs with no light next to guys with Leopold's, & other higher $ scopes when they couldn't even see the pig.
Go to a Cabella's or big box store of your choice & have them lay out a Leopold, Swarovski, Zeis & whatever you'd like, make sure they are all 50's, look thru them all & I guarantee the Nikon is brighter.

Thanks for the input I was trying to stay with what I have on hand and only have to buy some rings. I have a steel set of 30 mm Leuplod but can't put my hands on them.

I agree I am going to,take it off my Razorback and mount on the bolt gun. It is an amazing scope. I think I will mount my Eotech XPS3 and use it conjunction with my PVS-14 as a night gun. Now to work up a good load for the rifle. All my rings should be here next week.

You have some great scopes to try, I am now a Vortex fan myself. I do have to say that sounds like a great rifle.
