Over the last 7 months I had a sounder consistently hit this feeder but only 1 young lone boar . I held off hunting, hoping eventually a more mature boar would come in. Alas, a sow nearby must have been in heat because in 1 night 2 new mature boars show up, the larger, spotted one starts hitting the feeder 2-3 nights in a row around midnight. I climb in the stand at dark, ready for a long sit. An hour in I doze off and am awakened by an aggressive boar grunt. Thinking I'm winded, I see a small hog dart 15 yards in front of me into the timber. I power up the PVS-7's and don't see that hog but as I scan I see this jumbo under the feeder. A 50 yard head shot with a 120 SST poleaxes him. Come to find out this 230lb boar had ran off another much smaller boar during my slumber. Pretty cool the trail camera caught the moment of bullet impact!
