Anybody hunting tomorrow? Supposed to be about 37° in the morning with a high of 56°. This will be the coolest opening day around here in a long time. It has been 85° or better the last few years. I'm going mainly for scouting purposes. My wife is busy in the morning and can't go till tomorrow evening. I'm going to let her do the meat hunting this year, don't care if I shoot a deer or not. We fine tuned her 6.8 *** I built for her this year with 110 gr. Sierra Pro Hunters. She is very comfortable shooting it now so I expect success for her. My cameras show some big ol' boars and the occasional coyote cruising through the area so I'll be on the lookout for them.
Good luck and good hunting to all those who set forth to maintain our heritage.
Here is my wife's new rifle.

Nice rifle. My wife’s is pink! Oh well. Temperature should be about the same here. This morning it was 27. I’ll be looking for hogs( that seem to have left the country ) . Save the deer for my stepsons. If mom doesn’t beat them to it. Good luck to all and stay safe!

    Nice build.

Always good to see women getting involved in hunting and shooting.

The hard part is to get the guys at the gun shop yo act like they don’t know you when you walk in with her...

I hunted a place along the Bosque river around Meridian. My temp gauge said it was 29 in bottom fields

Excellent! That’s good work! Good looking doe. That should be some good eating.
