Oklahoma Boar

Was able to free up a week to come out and help the in-laws with some ranch work and to knock some pigs off the property. There had been quite a bit of rooting all around the area so I figured to have some good luck.
Around 10 pm, saw a small sounder to the south of our fenced in area, on the neighbors land. They were staying near his cows so I was just monitoring for awhile. A half hour later, they hadn't moved too much but two boars appeared several hundred yards in front of the main house.
Stalked up to a decent distance, one of the boars had crested a small rise but this guy was busy tearing up the land.
First shot was a good hit, second looked pretty ugly but the third finished him off. He ran a decent distance after the first 120g SST. You will notice me scanning for the other one and also playing around with the DVR for a bit (around time :48). Not at my home computer so no chance to edit or pretty up.

Thanks to Dave for supplying the DVR and guidance to work it correctly.

Didn't tape him, but I would say around 180-200#. Coyote bait.

Nice going! There wasn't anything ugly about that. Good shooting and fun times.

Nice job Dan. Glad that DVR worked out for you. Another plow bites the dirt.

The DVR is awesome, the only fault I see with it is that it clearly documents when I make a crappy shot. I don't hunt enough to be an expert on moving targets, but I will try to improve this week. :)

Nuttin' wrong with that kill. Stout boar. Congrats, and thanks for the vicarious tag-a-long.

Nice job, he sure was tearing up the field.
