Welcome to the fray. I don't use that caliber so I'm not up on the POI at varied ranges. I also assume there's a big variation between a sub-sonic load and a super-sonic load. Choose your load, then start finding where you have similar POI at different ranges (due to the arc of the flight). For example, if a POI at 50yds is the same as 200yds. then I'd zero for 50 yds and confirm the POI for 100 yds so you have an idea of your POA dependent upon your distance to target.

I'm not implying that 50/200 is relevant to use for your caliber, just using it as an example to establish your baseline. Make sense?

makes sense.. Thanks. I'm late to the 300 blk party ...only hunted with .308 browning and 5.56. Not looking for long range. Likely under 300yd shots. Supersonic blackout for from wild dogs, coyote, and mostly wild pigs. Needed something with a little more wallop than the 5.56..
