New Kinda Hog Hunting

Being in Middle America I've discovered ground hogs are a serious problem up here. 1 ground hog can push 700# of dirt excavating their dens. How much damage does a hog cause? Only problem there is a really small window to hunt them between their hibernation period and before spring crops come in. I've been in contact with 2 farmers already. Guess I'll get to put my long gun into action. It's weird how a lot of folks are not into black guns (sorry I refuse to call them AR's - dang media). Gotta load some ammo. Hopefully get some video online soon I figure out how to hunt these critters and once Punxsutawney Phil decides to stick his head out of the ground.

You hunt them like you would Prairie dogs. From a long ways away. Get some elevation over the fields, Keep the wind in your face like hunting any other animal. If you're not sure of there range, it's better to miss high than low. As soon as you throw dirt towards them or a ricochet goes by their head they'll dive for cover. Good hunting.

Why would you not call them AR'S??

I'm assuming you think it stands for assault rifke? It stands for Armalight the orginal designers of the rifle.

I've started calling them "Stoners" for clarity since anti-gunner's have NO CLUE what the hecque a "Stoner" might be :D

Use in a sentence, "Today I cleaned all my Stoners" .

Actually the AR-1 and AR-5 were both Bolt Action Rifles. The AR-9 was a semi auto shotgun.

Yup the AR stands for Armalite Rifle.

Yep... Hate how media and politicians throw around the word "Assault" "Rifle."
Funny how Armalite started with 308 and now we've gone full circle round.

Anyway. Gotta build a new "STONER" Bwhahahahaha.....

AR stands for Armalite...There is no assault rifle made for the civilian market, in fact the Military does not call them that..it was a term made up by the media
