Need some good jack stands

I've been living in another state and wasn't able to take all my tools with me. Had to buy new floor jacks.

What would you guys recommend for working on cars and pickups. I'm tempted to buy the pricey ones with the solid, flat bases.

I used to race sports cars, and still have several sets of jack stands. I never bought anything fancy. Mine came from O'Reilly Auto Parts or Harbor Freight. The ones from Harbor Freight are a pair of 6-Ton jack stands. I got them because they go higher. I could really lift a car up and make working underneath fairly easy. I never had one fail (obviously, I'm still alive). I use them these days on my Suburban.

Since I'll be working on heavy machinery too, I purchased those in my first post as well as taller pairs. Will probably get a pair or two of HF stands for lighter trucks.
