Well in the 2 weeks since I have been to this property with Dave, the fallow field has grown to waist high vegetation. Walking through it produced clouds of dust and pollen. Did I mention the bull nettle? Turning on a headlamp would produce clouds of bugs. And the heat and humidity were a joy to behold, but there were hogs, plenty of hogs. Had a heck of a time seeing them, but there were hogs...

Putting 'em down left and right, all night!
Nice shooting on the piglets!
Were the thermal conditions particularly poor, or was the low visibility mainly due to high weeds?

This time of year I carry a shovel in the vehicle as I scout the property during daylight and try to eliminate as much bull nettle as I can. The white flowers give it away. It's a never-ending battle, but I keep fighting.

Fine killin' all around there. Settling in on those footballs is no easy task. A different type of trophy, one more of satisfaction, I'm sure. Nice work.
