Moving target practice

Practicing up for shooting hogs on the run with a rifle. This thing is lots of fun, took some time to build.
All made with components I made or had on had. I think I have $28 in it. Moving parts all run on ballbearings. The motor is a 90VDC motor with a reversing switch, powered from a portable generator.
It has a rewind feature but have yet to try it. Thought this would be of interest

First test run in my back yard, Genoa, Illinois

This one is the AR-15 9mm

That’s pretty cool. Now you need a trap boy to run everything so all you have to do is shoot.

Well Chopper, I have provisions to rewind the cord with that extra spool but so far I just walk the target back through the course. It's lots of fun. I'll try the rewind feature eventually.

That's great!! A thought... how tough would it be to (instead of a spool to take up the line) have a spinning rubber tire/wheel to power a complete circuit which would enable to target to simple do laps? Making your line as a loop, rather than having a beginning/end?
