This sow was always looking for me when she came in to the feeder. Her sounder was showing up all day and night, 5-6 times a day. She was also running off any other sounder that would come by the feeder, she had a big boar backing her up. It was time for her to go...

Did you spine her? I couldn't figure out why she was anchored like that but still so alive.

*Dave: Couple summers ago, I shot a hog that was flopping like that. Walked over with the revolver to finish and realized she only had half her brain still attached.
 
I usually will try for the neck/spine in front of the shoulder, as per Lone Star Boar video. They might flop around a little but they don't go anywhere. Also, I am on these hogs is a matter of seconds after the shot since I shoot from so close.
