Cut pieces of bacon Julienne sweet peppers Dice some onion Mince some garlic Halve a mess of brussel sprouts. Splash of Merlot Two splashes of chicken stock Salt/Pepper Fry up your bacon, set aside. Add brussel sprouts, onion, peppers, garlic and brown them. Add wine and cover, cook off the liquid, then add the chicken stock and salt/pepper. Once that liquid cooks off, remove lid and kill the heat, add your bacon. I did a batch big enough to fill a dinner plate, and, that was my dinner tonight. Really good! Tender, but not mushy. Forgot to slice some mushrooms to go in with it, forgot to sprinkle with shredded cheese too. Next time. Lovin' my cast iron chicken frier pan/lid.
