I went down to Aggieland for the Texas A&M Annual Trophy Hunters Banquet and met up with Daniel of Brazos Valley Boars and Varmints. Along with his buddy, Dustin, we hunted a couple of properties Friday night/Saturday morning. The cold front had moved through and it was rainy and wet. Riding around in an electric golf cart, we managed to find a single group of hogs...

We did see single boars 3 other times, but in those cases they were too far away and moved off into the woods (or deeper in the woods) before we could get to within shooting distance.

    Nice video!

I've got a 7.62x39 and was thinking about putting my ATN thermal on it. The ATN currently sits on a 300 BO. What are you thoughts on the 7.62x39 vs. the 300 BO?

I'll take a 7.62x39 any day. Only weak point there, finding accurately loaded ammo for them that's clean burning. But, that's getting better over the years.

Nice killin' Brian ! I'm thinking that squalling one was #3. Yours (#1) appeared to be DONE on the first shot.

Well executed, narrated and edited, as usual…

I’m a fan of that particular type of countdown, with the modification of “Worst shot, first shot”.

“Worst” is not necessarily a reflection of the shooters experience or prowess, but other factors (optics, position, caliber, etc).

Yeah, they let me go first as the guest which may not have been the best idea. I am not a huge fan of the method, but it is alright. My host is very quick on the trigger. The third guy, not so much.
