This is a picture of this day time hog a friend sent me a little bit ago to rub it in. Problem for me it is a 6 1/2hr drive from here. It is on the other side of San Antone and they have much bigger hogs than this over there. Land owner cornered them this weekend and told them to kill some hogs because it is the worse he as ever seen!!! This one looks like a dandy!! BANG BANG!!!STC_0075(1).JPG

I believe you were looking at a mighty Grendel Curly has for sale.

As for the hog/sheepdog hybrid, what is 13 hours round trip one way or the other? You could drive 6.5 down, shoot the hog 30 minutes after arriving, photo, skin, butcher, pack, and be home in time for an early farmer's breakfast.

I do believe that is a pot belly cross similar to the skull I posted.

Ok, now did you guys look at that thing close? At first it looks like a big burly 300 lb hog, then looking at the fence posts etc... he looks small? Which is it???

I agree Dan. I think he is a smaller cross. I saw the same thing.

I was surprised at how large my Butterball hog was. Photos can be very deceptive both ways. That hog does have a fairly short nose and decided curvature of the nose to the forehead such that you can see that there is a forehead, but not hugely pronounced. He may be a generation or two from domestic.

All I know is he has a big head and is over 36 inches at the back. Going by the tree he is by, the fence posts are not in the ground that much. I just thought he is a dandy hog . BANG BANG!!
