Got some beaver last night.

Two evenings ago, I went to my neighbors place to check a large Beaverdam he's been complaining about for years. When I walked down the bank I saw one swimming across the open water towards the damn and let him have it. The next day I took a heavy rake back to the dam and cut out a large section hoping to get them stirred up for later that night.

I got four last night. Here's a few video clips of the action:

beavers can be hard to hit at night, and it's hard to do any damage to the really tough ones. however, there's nothing more rewarding than waking up and thinking... damn i tore that sumbitch up last night

Way cool!! Use to trap them for the drainage district. Got 75 a tail plus the fur in the winter months. GOOD ON YA!! BANG BANG!!

Dang that is quite impressive!. I would have to stay out all night to get 4 beaver so I don't think my wife would like that.

Honestly, I have found them really hard to hit when they are swimming around. I bet I expended half a mag of 120gr SST one night just trying to shoot one with my thermal.

Trust me, I know this well. I've got another video on my page that's about 10 minutes long and I never did hit him while he was swimming. Finally I guess out of curiosity he came up on the bank and let me shoot him.
