exciting would be the word I would use, I tell everyone that I carry a pistol all the time while out in the woods for two reasons, number one being people, number two being mountain lions because they are the only thing that bothers me in the woods, number three is sow bears with cubs which I have been charged 3 times now, the last one the sow charged me 3 times after I ran her cubs up a tree, the 3rd charge was to 10 yards

More than once, I've hiked a logging road (back to the truck) and found cougar tracks inside my own boot tracks. Never seen the cat though. Way creepy feeling.

Glad she kept her wits about her and was sure of herself to manage a good shot. From what I read it sounded like it was ready to pounce. Sorry it happen to her but glad that she was not hurt!! BANG BANG!!
