Flir RS64 35mm Worth It?

I can get a Flir RS64 35mm for around $3000 new. I have a IRD MKII 35 mm and a pulsar xd38. Converting a night vision gun to thermal for third shooter. Really want a 640 scope. We hunt mostly West Texas off the cap. Is this a good deal or would you get a new Pulsar Trail ? I don't care about recording and the battery issue doesn't bother me. Just trying to get some advice.
