Worked on the OBX for many years. That is when I had the fishing habit worse than BGD boats are a hole in the water where you pour money.

Well went hunting this evening with my CSC 7.62x39 piston upper. Shoot a nice 8 pointer. Had to wait for a few hours till my buddies to get here to drag him out. They also cleaned him for me. Can't say enought for their help.

I have not Frank I have a boat load of the Golden Bear. I will for next season. Shot a doe last year and the bullet did not open just tumbled. What I like is no meat was damaged. Shot in neck and the way he was turned it exited his rib cage

That is a bunch of damage. When I had my x39 I wanted the most consistent rds and chose the brass S&B 123gr SP and the Hornady SST...great ammo.

It still amazes me that a deer blow up inside can still, run.

they have no fight so it is the flight response, their only defense.

Well it's better late then never but I finally got a deer this season.

Shot a 2.5 year old doe last evening. Shot it at around 175 yards with a suppressed 6.8 using a 115gr fusion. Complete pass through and found some bone fragments on the dirt on the exit side.

She was slightly quartering toward me and the bullet went in right in front of the shoulder and came out just behind on the other side. She ran around 30 yards and piled under a mesquite.

I took the dog to find her so she could get a work out. Poor dog hasn't gotten to trail anything in around 2 years. With such a short trail she found it in less than a minute.
