Double down on two boars

blackboar.gif brownboar.gif Joshandme.gif Me and a friend set up over a corn feeder tube about five in the evening. Around 6:15 my buddy saw a black boar coming towards him that I couldn't see until it started running off away from me. It took 3 rounds from his 5.56 to finally drop it while I watched to see where it was going in the tall grass. We finally found it and were getting ready to take some photos when another brown boar appeared downwind and strolling up in our direction. Only thing I can figure is he couldn't see us for the thick grass. I dropped him at about 30yds with my 6.8 Blackstone Arms 16" scout *** barreled upper. He was DRT and my friend is now convinced about all the stuff I've been preaching to him about the 6.8 and Hornady SSTs ammo. His taped out at 36" and mine was 46". It was a great 30 minute hunt done old school with no night vision or video - so sorry! We were expecting a nice sized sounder to come in to the corn but we'll take what we can get.

Good job guys, did not need a $25,000 setup to get nice hogs!
