My dad had been seeing a sounder of 11 on his cameras every so often on his game cameras. He baited the trap 3 days ago... Had 5 in the trap this morning, including the only adult (momma) of the group.

He called a couple neighbors. They shot them all. Then gutted, skinned and quartered them. My dad only wanted the meat from the largest baby pig (55-60 lbs). The other neighbors split the rest.

The last pig started getting rigamortis or rigor mortis or however it's spelled, so they donated that one to the TBPS.

Awesome! Cool looking trap!

Copy/paste text from dad about trap details.

5 foot by 5 foot frame, using one inch square tubing with drop pin hinged panels. Five of them to create a stop sign... The sixth panel, the final 5 by 5 is the door... Two drop gates...two feet wide each.. The trigger is called Missouri hog trap trigger...google it for photo and instructions. Cost was 500 dollars

Agreed (about popping them one or two at a time), or, have some bags of ice on hand... kill 'em, gut 'em and toss a sack of ice in their gut to cool the meat while you work on 'em.

Nice work there, congrats to your dad for his efforts.

i don't get it. if you shot them at close range, why do they still have all their body parts?
Well the damage is from the exit and not the entrance. And the blast from the .22 mag knocked them flying back into the cage and they all landed bullet exit side down. He actually only shot once with the .22 mag and killed all 5 of them
