Coup Counting Boar

In honor of the plains Indians who counted coup on their enemies, this crafty boar put the coup on me and my dad before taking the fatal blow.

Timber is thick and the shooting lane narrow here. He was the only pig hitting this feeder for 2 solid months. Dad hunts one night, sees the boar through the NVG's and moves over to the rifle, powers on scope and he's gone. Sits 3 more hours, no pig. I hunt another full moon night and see the boar through NVG's moving between timber towards the feeder. Suppose the cold dense air and lack of wind cascaded my scent low and as I powered on the Photon he busted.

Alas, I hunt another late night and catch him creeping in after sitting 3hrs with temps hover around freezing. The 120SST poleaxed him. His coup counting days are over. Taped out to 200lbs even.
