I had the chance to take my dad out to the lease this week. Our plan was to try to find some pigs, then go fishing. We sat for 6 hours Monday night, but the pigs never showed up. The acorns have started to fall so the usual hunting locations near the feeders have been slowing down. We did mange to call in one coyote.
We went back out Tuesday am and I managed to find a sounder of pigs working near a small pond.. We were able to stalk in to within 85-90 yds of them downwind and my dad dropped one from the group with a well placed head shot.
The fishing proved to be a little faster paced than the pig hunting. The action was nonstop for three hours. We boated 35-40 healthy bass with the largest pictured below.
Good times.
