Calling Hogs

Anyone use an electronic caller to call in hogs ? If so, what caller and sounds seem to work ?


I found some national forest land that is ate up with hog signs. The area is so dense that crawling is tough unless you follow the hogs trails, even then you can not stand.

Txcoondog, look back about 1 1/2 years ago, Glenn Guess posted several things about calling hogs and which sounds he finds the most effective. He uses Foxpro callers and some of their calls and I think he has some of his own.

He uses a foxpro or grunt tube. Sow protection sound works best. After 4-5 minutes you need to mix it with pig squeals. Never start with pig squeals.
