Had a bobcat let me get within 15 yards a few days ago as I was checking a swampy area of the ranch. He flinched and then stayed still, but the flinch was what alerted me to his presence.

All I had was the old M&P 40 (that I always have on me). The brush was extremely thick with greenbriars, but my first shot anchored him. Shot two was partially swallowed up by the brush. However shot three pierced his heart and ended the excitement.

He is tagged and currently at the taxidermist.

Nice going. I have seen a lot of cats while hunting, but never have shot any. Always wanted a bobcat mount.
