Saw this on FB. Like the FLIR unit for iPhone but this unit fit a variety of smart phones and yes droid is on the list.

I am so screwed again, my LG runs 4.0 and is not upgradeable. Would have to buy a new $500 phone...would be nice for looking around and tracking.

Looks like is should have a better thermal image than the FLIR (but the FLIR melds thermal and normal optical together) but be a whole lot less durable than the FLIR because of the single point attachment (USB jack). The FLIR is something of a flop for hunting purposes. I don't know that this will be much better. If you end up torqueing it off the phone and ruining the phone's port, then you are pretty much screwed on charging the phone or anything else you do through the jack (up and downloading, for example).

As shown in their video, it does look like a handy dandy stud finder.

Yeah I never could understand why these companies make things that reli on the port for support. They should at least make it slide onto the bottom portion of the phone body.
