940nm

Im new here so no idea how to find a post if it is same as mine so I will ask. I do a lot of hog hunting and hogs can see the red glow on my IR light. On a 940nm light is there still a red glow? If you know of one that doesn't please list it for me thanks.

Welcome Sarge. A 940nm light will produce a faint glow in a flashlight but is difficult to see at any distance. Most say in their experience it is not enough to spook hogs that are out a way from the source.

Just be careful when you purchase the 940nm. Seems that a lot are just 850's being represented as 940's.

I hunted with a 850 T20 for about a year and spooked a few hogs but it seemed rare. This last weekend my BIL was with me with his new Xsight using my 850 and we got busted at about 200 yards.

I'm not buying a 940nm until someone recommends one that is a true 940
