Landowner called and said I had pigs in the trap. Took the hell hound out there and dispatched all 9 of them after work. Perfect size for the smoker. Ended up donating them to some folks that needed them much more than me.

3 cattle panels, 12 T-posts and a homemade drop door rigged to a rooting stick type trigger. It works pretty well for me. I can set one up and take one down fairly quick.

I baited this spot 3 weeks ago with 100 pounds of corn. The following weekend built the trap and baited the inside and outside with 100 pounds of corn. Then last weekend baited only the inside with 50 pounds. On Monday they were in there waiting.

Doing it this way has proved the most effective. I think it just gets them used to trap over a period of time. Very rarely do I only catch 1 and it’s usually a lone boar hog.

I don't think I'd be able to help myself from letting one loose at a time practicing my accuracy on runners. Enjoy the eats! We are going out tonight we have about a month left on our lease term so gonna fill the reefer as much as we can and get those knives sharpened up!
