Snuck around with the 224 Valkyrie at first light in the creek bottom, had a big boar stand up from behind a log 20' away, couldn't tell which end I was shooting, scope IMG_20181103_073710482.jpg IMG_20181103_075100546.jpg on 4x but he dumped and never twitched. About a 100 yds further down had 2 more sneaking up the creek bed and shot one in the neck. Another quick death. I am liking his caliber...ordered another upper this week.

That’s a nice pair of dead hogs! Good way to start the day. What round are you shooting in the .224?

Hunting ammo is limited but the Fed fusions in 90 gr are working well. I am not a fan of the fusions in 6.8, they are ok but I have had mixed results with them. Just need more time out to get more kills!

Stalking is kinda my thing. Don't own any sticks for shooting, I have used fences and trees if the situation is right but I don't go looking for a spot to shoot.

From my experience they are loaded weak in the 6.8. I believe that is why people have mixed results with them.
