Drilled two sows and a yote last night with my *** 6.8... 120SST's over 27.2gr AA2200 and CCI450 at 2.285" oal.
I thought this was a boar when it first came out of the creek and started rooting in the field.. no other hogs with this one and usually means a lone boar.
This hog taped out at 43" heart girth, ~230lbs. But turned out to be a sow and appears to be carrying unborn piglets...
I DJ'd the first shot on this sow, ~190-200lbs.
Stalked to about 50yards, missed the neck and hit forward in the shoulder on...the first shot.. the sow ran for cover - which happened to be toward my position, two more shots/hits to anchor this hog and finally did a face plant in the dirt at about 15 yards!
Exit wound below was gysering blood as the critter was going down...
And a yote...DRT ~ 90-100 yards.
