I hunted again solo last night after all the rain cleared out. I sat and watched my feeder for an hour or or so before the wind began to swirl like last time. I went on a walkabout through the oat fields where I ended up getting my first thermal coyote as she was eating the scraps from the 2 hogs I killed there last week. Afterwards I headed back to my feeder to pull the card on my camera. The wind was blowing directly from the entrance towards the feeder so I decided to just drive in quickly instead of creeping in on foot. I wasn't really expecting any hogs to be there because the sounder frequenting the feeder seems to have my number and never comes in when I'm around. I was suprised to see this 38" boar and even more suprised that he didn't seem to detect me driving in from upwind. Pretty easy kill from about 130 yards.
