I caught this rather tough fella feasting on a pile of cattle feed at the end of one of the dairy's pens. You'll see an unfortunately timed Auto-Nuc but it worked out. On the Pulsars you can turn the Auto nuc on/off but I prefer to use it. I try to manually nuc before prepping for a shot to avoid this and get best image but this time i forgot.

That definitely was a tough bugger. Solid hit initially, and obvious he was hurt as he was trying to escape. Good follow-up on him.

Way to stick with it! I've had a few that will pop up and run off after I swear they were dead after lying motionless on the ground for a few minutes.

They continue to amaze me at the amount of punishment they can take. Kinda like DJ. Did you see that photo where he pooped himself? He just keeps coming back for more!

Yes, the odds are against that happening but it does quite frequently.
