    New hunting grounds- good start

You are stacking them up! Next time you are up bring your precision rifle. That way if you end up having some extra time I will take you out to some of my places and we can shoot some distance. I have quite a few places to do that. I can get out to 1100 or so several places, and out to...

    New hunting grounds- good start

Sounds like another good night last night then! Sure is nice when a new place doesn't just turn out to be as good as the landowners stories, but even better! You are going to have a lot of fun on that place. Sure did enjoy talking to you on the phone last night. Good luck on the rest of the...

Stupid Shooter, Stupid Piglets, Stupid Coyote, Curious Fawns

Good job on that coyote. I've been wanting to get out up here in the Panhandle, but the wind has been howling. I may get a shot at it tonight though. Wind is supposed to lay and swap to a good direction that should work for me. Fingers crossed.

Got my first, Q Thunder Chkn

I wasn't aware Q had no barrel length restrictions, that is good information. I will have to keep them in mind if I file on another can. Got a friend looking at cans for SBR's right now, I will have to tell him to check out Q as well.

    Chompers

Got my first, Q Thunder Chkn

I really don't know anything about the Q suppressors, don't know anyone who has one. I have 7 cans on my trust, all SiCo or Dead Air. Friends of mine all run Dead Air, SAS, Thunderbeast, one guy runs Yankee Hill. I have been hearing good things about Q, just don't personally know anyone who...

    New guy TX Panhandle

Well, made a scouting run deep down along the river out at my BIL's, and there is more hog sign out there than I thought. I went on back to a pasture I hadn't been to in several years, and looks to be some decent opportunity there. That pasture is the route they will be using to get up to the...

    500th Hog Recovered

Congrats on the landmark event! My father called coyotes a lot and logged every one he killed in a logbook. In 20 years of calling he called and killed 506. That is a lot of critters, any way you slice it. Plus your #500 was a nice one too!

    Hog attractant review

Has anyone used the "Black Gold" attractant that a guy here in TX used to make? I think his name was Cody, raised some kind of European boars or something. I bought 4 quarts way back when, used 1 of them, but can't remember what results I had. Seems to me you were supposed to put it on a post...

    New guy TX Panhandle

Sounds good, I sent you my number. My brother in law should be planting peanuts later this week or early next week. He has 2500 acres along the river in NW Collingsworth county. Pigs used to be bad out there, but now they fly that whole section of river with helicopters pretty regular, and he...

    New guy TX Panhandle

Sounds like they are thick over there. Hogs will eat cottonseed for sure, usually it is where population densities are high, in my experience. I have about 10,000 acres or so I call coyotes on over here in Collingsworth/Childress counties, but not much of my coyote ground has pigs on it. A...

    New guy TX Panhandle

Blackstone- Folks are fixing to be planting peanuts here real soon. Some will probably start this week. That is the time the crops are most vunerable, from the time they are planted until they get up good 2-3 weeks later. The hogs will get in a row and just go down it, eating all the seed...

    New guy TX Panhandle

Yes I am. I am in Wellington, 30 miles east of Memphis. There are lots of hogs, and some dang big ones over around Memphis/Plaska. I have some properties to hunt over around Childress as well.

    New guy TX Panhandle

My name is Jeff, here in the SE corner of the TX Panhandle. New to the forum here, but been killing hogs for a while now. I do most of my shooting here in Collingsworth and Childress counties. We have some pretty decent pigs around here, lots of crop damage, lots of population control work...
