    Silencer shop or anyone else?

HWynne, I don't think Jeremy is with Silencer shop anymore. I was told he isn't when I called about 2 weeks ago. I had great customer service from him and assure you it stopped there. I just happened to call the ATF after several months to check status of my form 4 and was transferred to an...

    Silencer shop or anyone else?

The graph shows checks cashed 5/17 have 120 days to approval for form 4 trust. Either I'm reading the graph incorrectly or that is an estimate at best. My check was cashed 5/17 and my form 4 trust is still pending. I'm currently at double that estimated wait time.

single shot trust, how's come you ask?

    NFA status

Yes sir, the reason I called was to ask which dates were being worked to get an idea of where they were. Now, as you can see from Jeremy's post, that may mean nothing anyway. It will be a long while before I call back, if ever, because the only thing I can begin to trust that comes from it would...

Just called again to check status and ask what application dates are being processed now. She said August and September. I will assume she means of 2016. My check was cashed 5/19/17. Looks like the accelerated wait times have yet to take place.

I get it. I just had to whine a bit. It's the Federal version of the DMV, unpleasant.

no shoot, thanks for your time why bother having the department that answers phones and says: 1. what serial number? 2. name on application? 3. pending (at which time you'll ask, "any chance of a timeline"? 4. no I guess we've been paying too much taxes and they need to spend that extra money...

I called these guys to check status of my can and was told, "pending". As you can imagine, it was not the most friendly conversation I've had. Regardless, have any of you guys received a different response, were you given any kind of useful information? Kinda feels like a waste of time calling...

Max loads I'm seeing is about same as what Hornady advertises for their loaded. Is that because they are keeping within SAAMI specs rather than SPCII or others? Are you getting better results from your handloads? If not, what's the point of loading rather than buying factory?

    Silencer shop or anyone else?

Well aint that some BS. Dealer could have called SShop, you know full well they have the number and correct email. At least you have it now.

    Correct primers

Agreed, that's why I won't bother with them in my 6.8 loads. I rarely shoot hogs past 120 yards. If I can't hit them that close, it aint the primers.

    Correct primers

What is so special about those CCI benchrest primers? I know they are not for my 6.8 loads as precision is not needed, but for my 308 loads, if they are worth the $, I might like to use them.

    Correct primers

Thanks chopper. As you stated not all manuals state what primer was used for given data. My Lee manual has no mention of primer brand. Because I'm new to this I will start well below 10% under max. These first several batches will be for target and test obviously anyway and not for the hunt. It...

    Correct primers

I understand powder is specific. After reading a bunch of data primers are not neccasarily listed and it seems as long as they are the right size, it's whatever works best. Am I right?

    reloading manuals

I read the ABC's of reloading. Today I bought Hornadys 10th edition and Lee's 2nd edition. I have looked at data online but the books give data not published online, not for free anyway. I should be set for a while.

    reloading manuals

I see these ranging from $5.49 for the Hodgdon® 2017 Annual Reloading Manual to about $33 for the Speer Reloading Manual, No. 14. I assume that the cheap Hodgdon will give data for their powder where as say Hornady's 10th edition will cover a wider range of combinations, but that's an...

    22 rifle and 380 pistol

I have Stevens Model 87D, tube mag. will shoot short, long, and LR (as if that mattered any more). The bolt handle pushes in and out to make it single shot or semi. The blueing has seen better days but it shoots great. I suppose this would be a good first gun for a young person that may not take...
