    Baiting recipes

Hey everyone, I would like to know if there are any special baiting recipes for hogs. I have heard of Corn mixed with Koolaid, Corn mixed with diesel, heck even read in one of FrankT's posts about using dry dog food. If anybody got some really stank recipes the hogs seem to love please do share.

Looking for opinion on rifle before purchase

I believe its around 11 lbs unloaded, not completely sure of the exact weight. While hunting I do a lot of walking around in thick bush so the weight is going to suck. However, I am planning on keeping it iron sights to keep the weight down. I do like the fact it has a short barrel (shortest...

Looking for opinion on rifle before purchase

Ya I have heard about the primers before. One of the videos in the link of my first post showed the rifle firing and cycling brand new and really corroded ammo flawlessly. Maybe hard primers wont be an issue. Besides, if i was hunting I will be using Hornady ammo with SSTs and I'm sure there...

    Hogs Responding to Foxpro

Remember now, that safe space is considered a gun free zone. We don't want these piggies to fee triggered by our guns now, do we? Sorry for the pun

    Hunting Accident While Chasing Pigs

lol. I can just imagine these guys sitting in the mandatory PAL/RPAL license course and failing due to "incompetency with a firearm" after the instructor heard about what they did to TLM.

Looking for opinion on rifle before purchase

Well I do plan on using it for hunting and target practice with only iron sights. I did consider the M305b, which is the 7.62x51 version but I was told to reconsider from a friend of mine. Apparently basic .308 hunting ammo has more pressure than the 7.62x51 and can cause failures to an M1A or...

Looking for opinion on rifle before purchase

I'm currently planning on purchasing a Chinese made Norinco M305a, which is new to the Canadian market. Basically its a bastardized version of a Springfield M1A chambered in 7.62x39, 18.5" barrel, and uses AK mags. A link to what it looks like is below: Marstar Canada - Chinese Marstar 'GI...

    Hogs Responding to Foxpro

Or a buck with tusks, pig snout, and starts squealing when you shoot it. Thinking about it makes me wonder if the meat would be a fattier venison and the introduction of deer bacon. lol

    Any experience with 6.5 Grendel

I stand corrected. Most people on this site love 6.8 SPC

    Any experience with 6.5 Grendel

Ya I noticed the ammo choices for 6.8 are far greater than 6.5 G. Legally the rifle has to be 18.5" or longer to be used outside of shooting ranges. So if a barrel were to be 18.5" stick with 6.8"?

    Any experience with 6.5 Grendel

Thats good to know. Reason I am asking is that I am interested in buying an modified AR like rifle that is allowed for hunting purposes in Canada called the ATRS Modern Varmint. Only calibre offered right now is .223 but after talking with the company who makes these, 6.5 Grendel is supposedly...

    Electronic calls for hogs

That makes sense. So say I called in a sounder and killed one of the hogs (hopefully the lead sow) and didn't come back to that area for a month or two, would you think that same sounder could not be called in the next time I used the same call?

    Electronic calls for hogs

Hey, Anybody have any experience with using electronics calls to hunt wild hogs? What brand or phone app has worked for you? I have also seen that there is supposed to be an app with sounds from Glenn Guess coming out soon. Does anybody know when or is it already out? Any info would greatly...
