    Monocular/spotter

Axion will be one to watch for sure. That said I really like the pulsar XQ23v great view for the money and proven performer.

    Thermal bino

I’ve been waiting for the ATLAS in 25mm lens model heard they were working on protypes maybe release later this fall if it’s a go. 50mm looks awesome I just would perfer the bigger FOV of 25mm lens.

    New Trijicon "REAP 2" line

I also like manual Nuc vs auto Nuc on a weapon sight for many reasons like you posted above. I just perfer the setup/core that allows you to manual Nuc without having to cover the lens every time it’s just faster and easier overall. Trust me the MK I scope I owned was sweet the way it Nuc...

    New Trijicon "REAP 2" line

Yes the one thing IRD had right on my old FLIR cored MKI scope was the cap-less Nuc with the turn of the top knob. I miss it wish the following MK II,MKIII had that feature.

    Bump helmet

I also had a fake ops-core carbon airsoft helmet to lone for friends and keep in my truck. One night while out hiking around shroud piece broke and my pvs-14 fell breaking the lower battery housing. Lesson learned never again.

    Pulsar Trail XP50 clarity

Yes for sure I would go with the XP50 given those two choices/price range. The Trijicons are awesome really have the high end feel/construction to them. Features wise they are more basic while others have added WfI, internal recorders and much more. The Pulsars really shine in black hot the...

    Pulsar Trail XP50 clarity

I’m running a ReapIR, MK III 60mm, Patrol 100, Helion XP28, Trail XP50, Breach and armasight 42mm,Zeus. There is no disappointment with the XP50 in fact it leaves me amazed all the time. Image wise it’s the best bang for the buck in my collection right now.

    Trijicon // BAE

Yep saw some talk about this a few weeks ago, but figured it would be a while before anything happened. If the current BAE pricing structure stays in affect I will pass on these units . They are awesome products, that said very high price compared to other 640 core systems out there. I’m...

Pulsar Trail XQ50 or Flir Thermosight Pro 536

I’m using a XP50,ReapIR and MK III 60mm most of the time now. One of my hunting buddies has the XQ50 and DLOC mount it’s a very nice scope and once I 2X my XP50 for longer shots the image between the two scopes looks real close to the same. Honestly, he can kill anything I can with the XP50. I...

Any new coming out 640 core monocular/viewer wise?

Anything new out/coming soon in 640 class thermal viewers? I have a Patrol it’s my go to viewer and a backup/loner Helion XP28 also. The ATLAS really has my eye lately, however the 50mm lens has me on the fence of buying because that’s a tight FOV for the rolling wooded ridges/small hay fields...

    New Atlas thermal binocular

Once you have a thermal or two then you tend to buy more specialized systems like the ATLAS. My first thermal had to be a multi-use system my available money to spend made it so.

Flir removes all former armasight personnel

“user defined contrast settings do not hold their value between power cycles”. My Breach mono does the same thing goes back to the preset. It’s by no means a deal killer but a firmware adjustment for that would be great.

    New Atlas thermal binocular

I’ve been eyeing the ATLAS myself sure wish they had made two models one with 50mm lens and another with 35mm lens also for more FOV. I may order one myself later this summer I like the looks of the system.

Flir removes all former armasight personnel

I’ve only had one issue with a FLIR product my battery died after 3 years in my scout monocular several years ago. The sucker had seen some major use it was my only thermal mono at the time and was out in the field 100 plus days a year. Contacted FLIR for a RMA had it within 2 days good...

Flir removes all former armasight personnel

Yep merger normally means start looking for a new job in my personal experience. I’m sure the Armasight guys made their money on the sale of the company and figured any time employed past that was just a bonus. Personally, I’ve had very good consumer service from FLIR and I do like the...

Look what I almost stepped on

I had a copperhead strike at me couple weeks back while out chasing pigs. Been wearing the snake boots lately after that close call.

    Pulsar need him with decision

If your main use is long range the XQ50 could be a better choice in some ways. First, I have a XP38 and XP50 both great scopes for mynuse normally shooting 30 yards out to maybe 250 yards top. Even with the XP50 I find myself using 2X digital zoom a lot past 100 yards which at that point the...

    Pulsar Mounts

I have the DLOC Pulsar mount on my XP38 and XP50 plus my friends all have them on their XP38’s. Money well spent in my opinion as I move my thermal scopes around to get max use out of them no POI shift at all. The DLOC design fits all my rail mounts be it a bolt action rifle, AR15 or even 10/22...

308 rated NV or Thermal scope

Some of the most proven large cal rated scopes are the old Armasight Zeus line. I also like the Pulsar Trails have two of them, but don’t shoot them on large cal myself plus I would upgrade the Pulsar mount to the DLOC if it was me.

Flir Breach Mini Thermal in the field footage

It was the Odin 336 35mm lens 2X model I used a very nice viewer. Comparison wise they were just different in a lot of ways. The Odin critters just popped bright white or black and seemed alittle more in focus than the Breach at ranges past 50 yards. I still think I perfer ATN’s OLED vs the FLIR...
