What is the latest Armasight Zeus 3-24x75 30hz Firmware out there right now? Mine is ZHSC1603291938.

My Zeus also on occasion goes out of focus from the recoil of the rifle. In fact both of them do. One has only been shot on my 6.8 and the other has been shot on my 6.8 and 5.56. I'm thinking the recoil from these to rifle's shouldn't have caused the problem.

I have contacted Zeus three times over the last 10 days (two calls, one email) to verfiy if my Zeus needs the firmware upgrade. The only response so far has been an automated email response. Pretty sad customer service, especially given the price of the product.

Every now and then my 640 42mm will go out of focus from shooting. I just make sure to get some resistance on the focus ring before I let the lead fly.

I remember DJ had that problem with his 75mm all the time.

I was messing with the one that does it on every shot and realized the endbell/germanium lens actually moves back and forth a tiny bit. I can have it focused and by pushing it away from me it will go out of focus. I can push it back towards me and it'll go back in focus

I sent armasight/flir an email using the customer service email. We'll see what happens.

I received the automated email in less than 3 minutes from sending my e-mail. I'll give it a few days to a week. The e-mail says they have assigned a case number.

Yeah, got the same email. That was 9 days ago. Let me know if you hear anything back.

After a couple emails with only the automated response. A couple phone calls, I finally got through to a customer service rep, I received an RMA for both my thermals. I was told on the phone that it's about a two week turn around plus shipping time. I'll send them off tomorrow and see how how long it takes.

Thanks, guess I will have to keep on calling. No one has answered yet or responded to emails.

I wish I had purchased the unit from the DMV, would get much better service. Probably time for me to hit the sites selling them and leave feedback on their horrible customer service.

So after numerous emails and phone calls I finally got my thermals back from Armasight/FLIR. They had told me back on the 21st of May they were done and would be shipped out. I was out of town working and thought maybe I missed the email saying they had been shipped, nope, they never shipped them. On 31 May I gave them a call to be told again they were ready to shipped. I said wait a minute, thatsyall told me 10 days ago on the the 21st of May. The rep told me he'd go find out and make she they were going to be sent out. After 30 minutes I called back got the same rep. Turns out after they replaced both lens on my 2 thermals, they were put back in the to be repaired area. The paperwork had been closed out and said ready to ship. I asked if there was anyway I could have them by Saturday June 2nd. The guy was able to upgrade the return shipping since it was their fault on the delayed return. They shipped them overnight by Fedex.

My advice would be to email them, wait a day or two, then call them. Then call at least once a week to verify the status of your thermal. FLIR's customer service is not what Armasight's customer was before they were bought by FLIR sadly enough to say. Now the folks I talked to on the phone were always very nice and helpful. Seems their computer process just doesn't work like it should.

No, it isn't. I can't get a battery cassette from them despite them now having my model, serial #, name, address, phone number. Nobody seems to wish to tell me that they can sell me a replacement.

Sadly flir destroyed the customer service. They only care about government contracts. I for the life of me still cant figure out why they bought something they dont want.

... Sadly flir destroyed the customer service ...
This change was detectable ... and sad ... as in my experience Armasight had the best CS in the space (thermal).

... cant figure out why they bought something they dont want ...
... this part i've speculated on ... but given that we are now what two years into the merger? The evidence of lack of interest in the line on FLIR's part is strong. Sometimes one company buys another to buy the customers, i.e. to destroy the competition. But, you can't also destroy the product line along with that! If you want to kill the competition, you still need to push hard to compete in the space, the olde RS line isn't going to get it done. Now there is a trickle of activity, but, skepticism mounts as the months pass.

I contrast the FLIR/Armasight merger, with the Trijicon/IRD merger. IRD/TEO still seems to be flourishing, though they could use some upgrades to the line.

Well. hopefully, in 2019, FLIR will finish the boson 320 line and also release the 640 line of scopes and then by 2020 will be back in the saddle. But after 2 years in, I would not expect to be hoping that 4 years in they will be getting to that point.
