Are these pretty much canceled? They went from fall 2017 to spring 2018 to maybe, maybe not fall-winter 2018 . Anyone more in tune with suppliers have any info? I was looking forward to the 533 but if there's not much hope I may just get a trail as I like the picture in picture. Thanks for any info, joe

Appears FLIR may have revised the model number from 533 to 536...
If this is accurate, check this link:

Thanks homebrewer looked at that data sheet then searched new numbet but even less things popped up. I appreciate the info but was hoping someone might know if they were actually going to be released this year. There's one supplier that has them on their site and actually let's u put them in cart and go to checkout, but I emailed them a couple times to see if they were actually in stock or had a definite lead time but never got any response. I didn't buy as I don't feel like having 3500$ in limbo with not even an approximate shipping date and poor/no communication from vendor. It's around same price as xq50 but from looking at videos of pts233 I think a 533 would be better definition and 4x optical mag is nicer for predator hunting .

Flir is redefining shifting the bed. Boson this breach that what a joke. Lots of people dumped perfectly good scopes based on I still don’t know what.

Well I'm not sure that was english... I havent gotten rid of any old scope. I'm looking to get my first thermal. And the price point of the pulsar xq50 trail or pts533 is about the most I can afford. All reviews of the pts233 and videos look good so hoping for the 4x optical magnification with 50mm lenses of the 533 to be of similar quality doesn't seem like a pipe dream to me. I think I would be happy with the xq50 and had been saving up for it but am hoping to see the 533 as similar resolution at 4x compared to 2.7x should be nice for what I want to do. And ive looked through a pts233 and i liked what i saw , I'd just prefer a higher magnification and ability to focus. If anyone else has a reccomendation for a thermal in the 3500-4k$ range I'd definitely look into it. I'm currently using a x sight for coyote and am looking into getting my first thermal.

Got an email this morning from FLIR ... might be a sort of "pre-announcement" ?

FLIR is excited to announce that a suite of thermal products will be shipping on 3/1/18: the all new Breach thermal monocular and the expanded family of ThermoSight PRO Series thermal weapon sights with 50mm and 75mm lenses.

But those might be the "bosun zeuses" ...

If they do that I officially forgive them, which I know has really hurt their feelings.

I think I have seen all the main thermal companies make claims about release dates and I have seen all of them fail to meet the claimed dates. Personally, I would not believe any such scheduled claims until after I see scopes on store shelves or in vendor hands. Remember that the PTS533 was promised for 2017.

A few PTS233s have managed to trickle out, but not the higher models.

But not all that have been sold. A lot of people have had money tied up waiting for months for their units to be shipped.

I called Armasight/FLIR today and the guy on the other end of the line said that there will be a really long lead time after the release and that more information and pricing will be announced this week at shot show.

I’m hoping they release the full info on the 640 cores too. If pricing isn’t ridiculous and they’re no getting out till the summer anyways, I would like a nicer unit and I won’t be missing out on any good summer hunting for my area if I have to wait. They already stretched it out too long and will miss my Texas trip in early March.

Yep.

Do you think the first models out will be buggie? Or will they be pretty much the finished models?

Nobody knows and there is no way to predict what the result will be until they are out.

I know they aren't released yet!!! ;) (like all the other new crap this time of year ! :) )

Yeah, if I didn't know anything about ATN, I might be impressed ... an integrated range finder! But I briefly had a Thor HD back in Nov '16 and it did "suck" as you say ... no image at all on black hot ... it was probably a lemon ... but with ATN you takes your chances ... fortunately ATN CS was actually decent ... and told me to send it back and I did and got my refund and I got something else instead.

I still have my ODIN and it still works ... but the other ATN "stuff" I've had was not impressive.

Yep I had great luck with the last released generations of the old ATN THOR’s ,OTS and ODIN line . No major issues and decent CS also. One look at the THOR HD was a let down and no new true monos to the line up was very disappointing. The OTS-Hd is just the same as scope with no mount it’s no mono designed from ground up. I havent bought ATN since just Armasight ,Trijicon and Pulsar.

I would have liked to see the Odin line continued and pricing reduced or maybe a newer small mono-added to the line.
