Lip Squeaked Coyote

While I really like being able to use the variety of calls of electronic callers, or having a couple of different mouth calls, I really like being able to lip squeak in a coyote, especially for the convenience of not having to carry around extra gear.

During the course of 2 hours, I manages to get the interest of 3 coyotes, two of which were a LONG way away. I started lip squeaking at the last coyote at about 300 yards and he came in quite a ways before stopping and trying to figure out what was going on and that is where I dropped him.

Despite two thermal and white light searches, I never could find the coyote. It seems rather silly with it shot out in the open, but the 1-2' tall grass just "swallered him up." The landowner said he may look for it today...

I had some large hogs go down in tall grass that were hard to find in daylight. I can imagine a coyote at night might be tough to locate unless you practically step on it.

Meanwhile, keep after 'em!
