don't try facing down these killers alone

got a call from tlm for help with some killer hogs that he just wasn't comfortable facing alone. actually he was too scared to even come along. he wanted the professionals to take care of it while he interviewed celebrities at the ranch house and evaluated equipment. no problem. this was a kill tailored just for team OinK.

first monster boar had two juvies with him. wind was so bad there was no holding steady. just had to control the pattern of the movement and shoot when the hairs were bout right. i thought OinK and i were going to put down the biggie together and then take out the sprinters. however, OinK often likes to set me up with impossible tasks just to complement me afterwards. hes quite the mentor.

wind was good for us and bad for the hogs. these got so close anyone else would have stayed in the truck. OinK was plagued with problems all night. it started with his video not working on the previous hogs and now his safety was on the blink. perhaps it's asking too much for equipment to function properly in a dirt blizzard.

this hog was far. so far i used 4x. thought i got a good hit on him and the vid doesn't look too bad. hog didn't seem to have any problem running with his heart shot out. just when i thought he was going to get away, OinK comes thru with the 1,000 yard, high wind running kill shot.

not sure if OinK was ready or not, but the hog started trotting and i started counting. didn't know if he even shot... till we got to the killer hog and i saw where he was hit. there's OinK's warped sense of humor kicking in again.

closed in on this rogue killer and wanted him out first. anything else was a bonus. nearby spotlighters made some commotion that stirred up the group, so we weren't able to get into better position. hurriedly we killed the giant seconds before he would have bolted for cover.

started raining on us before we setup on the next herd. a little rain added to the mix doesn't bother OinK any. he went ahead and killed these before i even came to a complete stop. and wouldn't you know it... a two for one!

Looks like Oink was busy with a pair of his own while you were stopping this one. Zest!

With that hit, surprised he didn't bow up on impact.

Love it when they go stiff and just tip over in slow-mo. LOL

Hah, that last video had the survivors making tracks and throwing up dust as they exited. They looked like a bunch of WW2 naval destroyers laying down smoke screens!

We can think the spotlighter guys for that. The boar had his butt to them and didn't see the light. We had a little pow wow with them after we shot the boar. A little miscommunication was evident. Kids!!! We showed them our equipment and how it works. They will be talking about that for several weeks to come. Lost a few hogs but made some great friends. We'll take that any day!
