OinK had a mission to complete and i was lucky enough to get invited to tag along. we could have used a little more wind to mask our noise but we made do. just had to hike a little farther than normal. no moon and indian footsteps put us well within killing distance. guns and scopes performed as expected. first hunt of the night... flawless victory.

same hunt from my view. most of the hogs ran my way hoping for an easy escape. however, i was able to keep most of them busy until OinK wiped out his side and repositioned to take up my slack. at the end i just watched in amazement. very few get the opportunity to see what i saw... LIVE!!!

we worked pretty hard for this hog. since he was alone there was a good chance he was a good boar. first stalk on him went the entire length of a quarter mile pivot. he slipped through to the other side and we retreated rather than trudge through the spray into a mud bog. back to the truck and circled around to enter from a different direction.

at the end of our countdown he was facing down and wound up with two holes in the top of his neck. forgot to trun on my video but OinK saved the night. not sure why we didn't see very many big hogs. this was the largest of the night. best guess is close to the 250lb mark.

this was the field we were hoping to catch them in. even though there was a good herd out there, the close ones were a sure thing. we just mosied right up to them and twisted off. here's OinK's handiwork.

these were close enough that i even hit a couple. didn't take long to wrap things up here. since we saw where the herd went we went ahead and chased them down. but that's the next hunt. here's this kill from my scope.

Nice going! That last hog in the first group really soaked up some lead!

we weren't far from the truck so we caught the herd quickly. from the looks of them they weren't expecting us, hehe. we didn't have anytime to setup so we skidded to a stop and opened fire. lots of shots fired but they opened the gap quickly. we raced up to the pivot center to finish off any still in range but OinK was out of ammo after a few more shots.

they were still farther than i had hoped but that never stops me. i let 'em have it till i couldn't see them anymore. one of the fields was off limits to the truck so we only gathered up four. after the pics i reloaded my mag and was ready for more. unfortunately when i looked up the sun was coming up. now that's when you know you've had a good hunt! (no vid from OinK on this one)

That was some good shooting DJ. At least up to the last video. Yep, that skunk didn't know whether to s**t or go blind.

What do you do with so many hogs?
Stack em in the weeds during the winter. Now the peanut boys don't want anyone in their fields so we just leave em. Their gone in five days anyway with the buzzards and yotes.
