I am in the market to purchase a 30 cal can for a 16in 6.8 on an AR platform as well as a 22 cal can. Anyone done some extensive research lately on what is currently on the market? I have done some but not enough to feel confident on making a relatively large purchase without the needed info. Looking for what the best promos that are currently available as well as opinions on the best cans for the money.

What is your goal? Length, weight, sound, attachment, value?

For the 30 cal can, I will be using it on my 6.8 with a 16 in barrel in ar platform for hunting hogs. If I was to rate most important would be value. If money was no object I would rate 1). Sound 2) Weight 3). Length everything else icing on the cake.

For the 22 cal can. I will be using it on a CZ 452 .22lr again I am looking for value, but if money was no object 1). Sound 2). Weight.

Go ahead and get 3 22lr cans, 2 9mm cans and 2 30 cal cans and a 45 can, its going to happen regardless

For the 30 Cal can my pic would be the Q Full Nelson.

Todd is right about the Q Full Nelson. It is 16.6 oz and they say it meters 130 but we haven't tested yet. I would say look at the Griffin Paladin (formally Alpha) and the Sig silencers. Those along with the Q will give you a balance of sound and weight.

The quietest by far is the Bowers USS 22. But it is heavy for a 22 silencer. But we are talking 2-3 oz so it's not huge. But you can tell a big difference. Liberty Regulator if you want to go more toward the light weight and give up sound.

Bowers USS 22 is more quiet than the Q El Camino?

112.4 on the USS and 114.3 on the El Camino. This is from our testing. We have videos up on both. Where they really shine is the magnum rimfire.

They are saying 114 db in the full length. We just got them so haven't metered them yet.
