You mean like bigfoot? Naw, but I've seen my weird hunting buddy Akay through a thermal and I can't explain him.

Had some buddies rig a trip wire once with a dummie in the woods swing out in front of me. They called me on my cell about 5 miles down the rd to tell me it was just a joke

Years ago at Ft Stewart in the swamps there we heard some crazy crap. But never saw anything.

I've seen things flying in the sky that were not visible with the naked eye or night vision. Other than that everything weird was eventually explained.

Every morning I come in from an all night hunt I see something strange laying in my bed! She usually growls pretty loud but I manage to go to sleep before I get bit.

Not through thermal... but, out on a camping trip, I saw a bright light in a particular spot through the tree limbs. I never moved for over a few hours' time. Stars should've moved during that time. This did not. It was not the moon, we were out in the wilderness/woods, so it was not a fixed light on a pole.

I watched hogs turn into cow/calves and hogs turn into deer through a thermal, after a stalking. So I never shoot until I have 100% ident. on the target.

Weirdest thing my eyes ever beheld was in the daytime. Still not sure what I saw.

An acquaintance had permission to hunt a large acreage in a secluded part of East TX. No houses nearby. The property is comprised of several thousand acres mostly of timber. Nobody lives on it. Guy was hunting for deer during archery season with his son and son's friend. The boys were a few hundred yards away in a different stand. They had all been extremely quiet upon arriving and also on their walk into the place. It wasn't the first time they'd hunted it.

Sometime in the late afternoon hours a loud, strange, unidentified sounds emminated loudly approximately 100 yards south of where the boys were at. There was hardly any wind and so the sounds carried a long distance. The father said it sounded almost like a scream. He started texting his son to see what they thought of it. The sounds got louder and yet he didn't get a text back from either of them. That's when he began to get concerned.

What he didn't know was that the boys were running to find him and had already left the stand in a hurry. When he finally met up with them, they all decided to leave and find the pickup. Whatever was making the frightful sound had begun moving in their direction. They could hear it walking and continue to yell. It scared the heck out of 'em. Don't know if they're going to try and come back a third time. If they ever do, they'll be well armed this time. They're still not sure what it could be. As stated before, there are NO houses anywhere nearby and no roads beside or behind. No signs of other people trespassing have been found either.

I was using night vision on a feeder one bright clear night. I didn't need my illuminator and about shat myself when the nearby trail camera started flashing its infrared flash which also reflected off the the feeder back toward me.

I thought it was either aliens or some special ops team moving in on me for the kill shot.

Hahaha

I was hunting alone one night in Florida, the owls tried to scare me off, then some frogs began to sing, then through my night vision I saw these large eyes looking at me about 75 yards away. After watching raccoon eyes for hours these eyes were huge. I figure it is a giant hog so I click off the safety on my AR and wait and watch . My heart was just a pounding, you guys know the feeling. Finally the mystery animal moved toward me and the infrared light illuminated the head and neck,,,,,it was a deer. My NV stuff was fairly new and I had not yet seen a deer before through NV.

Rolling around around the farm on the mule blacked out a while back with nv and thermal. Spotted a truck parked at one of our oil wells and could tell there was a guy sitting inside listening to the radio or something. Rolled up on him pretty quiet and got about 20 yards away and lit him up with the light bar. Turned out he wasn't alone. Dude was spooked good but i bet it didn't compare to the pain he probably got from that old girl biting down when that light came on and spooked her. That's a rough way to learn not to trespass.

This wasn't with a thermal and is a rough account of what occurred to a sort of acquaintance. We'll just refer to him as guy #1. He and his cousin and cousin's friend agreed to meet up one Friday afternoon to hunt Saturday morning for deer on the cousin's ranch. The guy got to camp late and instead of going straight to bed, he stayed up drinking beer. He was staying in a tent alone, while the cousin and friend slept in the cabin. According to guy #1, he believes he passed out somewhere around 11 pm.

Just like clockwork, the cousin and friend arrived with a SxS at the tent around 5 am the next morning to give guy #1 a ride to the stand he'd be rifle hunting from. They had to wake him up. He managed to put his boots on and grab the rifle and flashlight before heading out. The cousin and friend dropped him off at the selected stand and promptly drove off into the dark.

Just as he was climbing up the ladder to reach the door of the blind, there was a terrible racket inside. This was in South Texas so he began to wonder if peraps it was an illegal alien inside trying to scare him away. He hollered out to whoever was inside to come out and that he had a gun. Whatever it was began moving around even more so. He tried to cycle a round into the rifle chamber but realized there were no bullets. His flashlight wouldn't work either. All hell broke loose as the thing inside began ramming the wall of the enclosed stand. It was all he could do to hang on for dear life. Before guy #1 could fully understand what was happening, the wall collapsed and he and the thing were now both on the ground. As he came to his senses while laying on the ground, there stood in front of him a live billy goat with deer antlers tied to its head.

The cousin and friend had played a joke on him which thankfully ended with no real injuries to speak of. They had removed the bullets from his rifle and batteries from the flashlight without his knowledge. He later got back at them by mounting a portable alarm clock under their stand to go off at first light. Guy #1 was kicked off the ranch for trying to get even.
