My B-I-L and I had a few targets the last few nights out. Minus the snaps on
the bolt gun it was a pretty successful hunt. B-I-L shoots a Ruger American Ranch
and has trouble finding ammo that will fire. He has been shooting Beck Controlled Chaos
but they have even started miss-firing. All video was from his recorder on the Ruger
with me additionally shooting the Modern Carbine 6.8 on the last clip.

Wish my pigs would stay put like yours.
Really....it was like a video game on beginner level...shoot a hog...they run 20 feet...shoot another...they run 20 feet....

Odd, seeing them hang around like that after a shot(s). Too much fun. Is it his ammo, or a bad firing pin on that thing?

With hogs that gentle you could have walked up to them and put the barrel in their ear. Awesome!

Good video and good hogs down!! Funny how the hogs stayed around after the first few shots.

Some good shooting there and made almost every shot count!! No dirt clods injured like some here.

If the rifle is chambered in blackout, mine has had the same issue in the past. The miss fires have gradually faded away with the more lead I've thrown down it. All the advice I can give is keep shooting it till it gets fixed, or check your primers for light strikes I noticed quite a few of my duds were not actually duds just light strikes. Best of luck with that.

Yea it was a little strange . They normally run like hell after the first shot.
We have actually called Ruger and they gave us a list of known ammo that will not shoot in that rifle.
It is a .300 Blkout. I have one in the AR platform and love to shoot Barnes TTSX 110 grain. As fate would
have it that is the first one on the list of non-friendly ammo for the American Ranch. The TTSX in the .300 is almost
as deadly as the SST 120 grain & Wilson Combat TTSX 95 grain in my 6.8 . IT just costs a little more to shoot.

Not tryin to be too nitpicky but r u talking about the 110 Barnes black tip? Bc I don't think that's a TTSX bullet. It's a specially made bullet called the Tac-tx which is designed to perform/expand at even slower velocities than the TTSX. Same concept/design as the TSX and TTSX but expands at slower speeds for the .300 blk.
Anywho cool video thanks for sharing.

Very entertaining video.

I'm not as ballistically inclined as the other gentlemen, but I do have one question..

Does the FDA require a special permit to mix the corn with Quaaludes?
