Ok I have not got my thermal yet. It will be here Monday. I got the battery pack with it. If what I understand from what I read here on the forum. You can either use the battery pack or the dvr recorder but not both at the same time. Is this correct. But I think from what I read also that there's a y adaptor of some kind that allows you to use the battery pack and dvr at the same time. Is this right

Yes, only the DVR or Battery pack without the y adapter. I bought two battery packs. The secound one came with a y adapter, the first one didn't.

Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if there is any way to attach the DVR to the pic rail on the side of the zeus? My DVR doesn't seem to have any attachment points?

I made a custommount just a flat piece of metal with a pic rail mount glued to it then velcro on the other side and on dvr.

Me to I'm pacing waiting for FedEx
So there's a possibility a y adaptor will come with it great I'll buy the dvr. I got the battery pack first because I figure more power was more important than making vids.

Has anyone ever hooked up a go pro to record with. Wait I have to check for a connection port on the go pro to plug a cable into. I think it's only wifi can't remember.

All the ones I have seen are built into the harness when you get them.

I keep thinking I'll order new connectors and make my own but all I've ever done is make a short battery harness. Like these two.IMG_20160706_123034_062.jpg

If I hadn't "potted" those connectors I'd open them back up and add the video line too them.

With the way I mount my MDVR, I haven't really looked into a way to mount my external battery pack as well.20170102_214349_resized.jpg

The external battery pack gets in the way of flipping up my brass catcher. So I don't use it on the gun I shoot with. I only use the external battery pack on on Zeus that I scan with.

I have one of their brass catchers I got off arfcom cheap. Man you can't beat them they are the best ones made. Mine mounts on the top of the rail. I can use it on my SCARs and ARs

Got my thermal in I got a y adaptor with the scope and with the battery pack

So if you have the "Y" cord, all you need is an RCA male to mini plug male to use the UNV MDVR and a Armasight battery pack at the same time?

So, my brand spankin' new Zeus is heading back to sunny California for a fix already. It's draining batteries like there's no tomorrow. Needs a software reboot or something. It's a good thing I'm a tough old broad or I'd be crying right now....LOL.
