Saturday Morning Hog

Left the house about 4:30 am to check traps. Raining hard but let up long enough to sneak up on this 220# Boar. (42") Had to lift him into the truck because land owner doesn't like buzzards....hmmm.
I am getting old and fat...it was all I could do to lift and pull him in.

Hey Dan'l... see that slot just above your wheel well? The one which is just the right size to hold a 2x6? Slap a board in there, and then run rope (diagonally, corner to corner) from board to bed corner... acting as a tied back anchor point. Eyebolt through the 2x6 and carabiner a block and tackle.

BTW... fine hog down !!

I have a half dozen of those boat winches laying around. Getting to the age where I might think about making a set up to ease the pain. lol

One thing about a big old boar hog...his front end is much heavier than his back end, it's best to focus on getting that end in first. lol

Congrats. Getting that sucker in the bed would a been a workout.

One of your spare boat winches bolted to a 2x6 secured like Rat dog suggest would make the job easy.
