Question about feeder light location

I don’t think it matters, they will get nervous either way on the first time you use. It would be best to get them used to it before hunting. I don’t care what anyone says, they can see the light. I have watched them come in to a feeder no problem. Then the next night, with a green light, they come in, see the green light and run. I’ve had hogs come in on the first night with a green light and if I shoot one the other ones that were there will not come back if the green light is on. Here’s a video when I setup the green light and hunted. You will see the green light and also during video my game cams. I throw some corn outside the green light as you can see it gets the hogs hungry.

I hear ya. However, I have had hogs avoid a spot where the light is new to that spot and the light is pointing at the feeder where the pigs can see the glare of the light source. But as soon as I put up my feeder mounted light, shining down from above and slowly brightening when triggered by motion, the hogs behaved as if there is no light at all. This was with the light being mounted that same day. I have seen this happen using both red and green versions of my light.

Thx for your feedback.

I’m about to set up a light that I purchased from Walmart and painted the light covers green. It’s much brighter than I thought. It’s solar and motion detected. I have lots of hogs coming throughout the whole day and night. Will see if they get use to the light or not. Going to apply a few more coats of paint to see if it darkens so more.
