LOL Love the music selection for this one. Death stalks, Death strikes, Death finishes.

You need to mount your phone on your rifle, that would make for some more awesome videos.

Whether the cell phone, or the GoPro, this is rather easily done. Here's a link, and a pic of the GoPro mounted and ready to mount to the scope. It lets you look through your scope, and a mirror projects the image to the GoPro (or to your phone's camera). They sell either set-up.

I appreciate the suggestion. First I do use a GoPro and the adapter listed above for the the GoPro is $1250, pretty expensive for a "strap on". Second I usually point and shoot within a few seconds then drop the gun down, so the video of that would be a blur. A GoPro is a great wide action camera, but anything beyond 20 yards looks like it is a mile away. It would be impossible to turn the camera on and off when needed and the contraption would just get ripped off the Ruger after a few trips through the vines. I hunt first and then catch what I can on camera. I will say this, I ran the suggestion through the White Ghost and she was all for it.....

I'm tickled to have the videos to watch that you post up. No complaints from this peanut gallery. I was simply sharing knowledge of a piece of kit. In fact, I have one mounted to a .22 rifle (which I need to take to the range and shoot) and need to experiment with the use of the tool. Mine is for a cell phone.

One additional food for thought on the subject. If the GoPro is mounted to the "strap on" (which, BTW, does not use any straps, it's all bolted in place), the GoPro now benefits from the magnification which your optic is set at. It's no longer limited to the wide angle ONLY capabilities of the GoPro lens.

White Ghost taunts Death.

I get many "suggestions on my youtube channel, "wear the GoPro on your head, use a tri-pod, get someone to film you". Here's the problem, I must make it look easy, go out and shoot a pig and capture it on camera...I was told on this forum, "you won't be shooting pigs in the day for much longer" I think that was two years ago. So, it is not easy, I have an overall plan that is working and I put a lot of thought and effort into it. I do it for fun. I really try hard to keep my hunting with as few "gadgets" as possible. My Ruger, the old GoPro2 that I keep in my pocket and my backpack. I really enjoy your comments, Ratdog, it's like you are in my head......along with a few other guys here. And I refer to it as the "strap-on" due to the price, if you get what I mean.....

Oh, I get it... and not trying to push you towards something you aren't interested in either. The subject arose, so I tossed my $.02 in to see if the worm got a bite... or, maybe you've been looking for such an alternative. If so, I'd be remiss to not do something to help... since I just sit here and mooch views of others' efforts. LOL I'd say that what you're doing... works. You're definitely getting results too. And, I enjoy the heck out of being taken along for the ride.

Another reason I toss stuff like that out there... someone else who's reading/viewing, it might be something they're interested in.
