LWRCI Six8 accuracy

Can anyone share with me what kind or accuracy they’re getting with their LWRC Six8 Razorback 2 with Hornady factory 120 grain SST and 100 grain GMX. Real honest accuracy At 100 yards, not shooting a bottle at 50 yards. What size groups at 100 yards. Thanks

Sorry, no real-world experience, but have experienced several LWRC rifles before...and I run factory 120 SST almost exclusively in my Ambush Arms.

There is no reason why that combo should not shoot better than 2 MOA...meaning that under controlled range conditions I'd bet a paycheck you'd get groupings better than 2.1" at 100 yards. Chances are that the groups would be considerably less than that...BUT, each barrel is a little different and may exhibit preferences towards something else. My rifle is 1 MOA with the SST, and that's why I run it.

However, accuracy under field conditions is far more important. It is nice to know though that the reason you missed is because of the shooter and not the gun/ammo combo.

Had a customer bring me a 68 Razorback that would shoot better that 2"+ at 100 yards and wanted me to re-barrel it. He had bad service when he contacted them before but I talked him into talking to them again. For the second time he was told that the 68 Razorback was a "battle rifle" and 2-2.5" groups were a acceptable. They wouldn't fix the issue. He sent the rifle to me and it was a 2"+ gun. After taking it apart I tried a few things and it did not improve in accuracy. I decided I did not want the project due to some machining that needed to happen. Never heard back on if the barrel fixed it.

Getting about 1.5 MOA with Hornady Match 110 grain HP. Six8 Razorback piston driven with 8x nightforce scope. The Hornady American gunner 110 gr hollow point accuracy was abysmal. The Hornady 110 gr v-max in either Black box or Varmint express was pretty bad also. I have ordered some 120 gr SST's to try. The Razorback is a great pig hunting platform. I think it would benefit greatly from a 1-11 twist chrome lined barrel. I have a couple of the 1-11 twist barrels from the early days of 6.8 SPC development and they are both one-holers with 110 American gunner, 110 Black box, or handloads with 110 Sierra soft points. I do not know why current builders insist on using the 1-10 twist barrels.
