Pulsar Trail XP 50 Wifi/Stream Vision problems

I can connect to my scope via the app but my connection drops pretty quick. I have never been able to download video wirelessly. I was recently able to update the firmware but had to try several times because of the lost connection. This happens with two different types of iPhones and my iPad. Anybody have any experience with this?

PS - I absolutely love this scope otherwise.

I have this same issue with my Trail XQ38. Yesterday spent about an hour trying to download some videos to my app, but kept dropping signal. Tried researching but couldn't find much help....

Try deleting the app and reloading.

I had to do that when I first got set up and that seem to make it more stable.

However the last time I used it it did feel like the signal from the scope was not sufficient.

I did close my app and reopen it and that solved the problem that night. I may have also power the scope off during that bit of frustration.

I am having problems too. I have an android galaxy s7 with the newest firmware for it. I think its 9.0.
I tried uninstalling the stream vision app and reinstalling but still wont work. I turn the wifi on in the scope(Helion XQ38F), then open wifi on phone and connect to scope, then open stream vision. When I open stream vision My Devices is not lit up. So I press Connect Your Device and it finds the helion. When I press that it says to connect manually. But I'm already connected via my phone. Just doesnt make any sense. The older version of stream vision worked great but this new one doesnt work so great for a galaxy s7.

This is the first time I've ever commented to anything online, but I'm going to add to this due to pure frustration and the fact that my scope is the coolest thing I've ever owned. I have an iPhone 8, and when I first got my Trail XP50 a month back, I could get the SV app to connect, but it always said "Weak Security" and didn't stay connected for long through the view finder on my phone. I have everything updated, and now I try to connect to the wifi on the settings on my phone, and it will detect the scope, and I can click on the wifi, and it will connect to the scope momentarily, and then say "no internet connection" on my phone. The scope will show the icon in the bottom, that it's connected to my phone. On the SV app, it will say "Trail XP50 Connected" but I can't get the "View Finder" or "Files" to highlight, so I can view through my phone. I deleted SV and reinstalled it, and it made no difference. I'm begrudgingly going to do the latest version update on my phone, (which historically makes my phone(s) suck), just to have everything skippy. I'm also going to fully charge my batteries, to see if that will help with the signal strength and report back. Like others, I freaking love my Trail XP50, but the Stream Vision app seems to be the one option, and its garbage, currently. If they could fix it, it would be nails!

So I did everything imaginable with all software, charged batteries, restarting and reloading everything, and in the end, it just doesn't work for dung. I got my phone fully connected on the first try with a new battery, and wasn't able to repeat it again. Fo'shizzle.

By that I mean can you get the firmware updates directly from pulsar? Really the only thing I am interested in is the updates.

The same thing just happened to me. I connected last night and I was streaming from the app today. I was showing my son how it worked and I had him back away about 15 feet from the therm with my phone. We suddenly lost connection and now cannnot get it back. I’ve been trying for several hours. I’m having the exact error messages as you’ve listed above. The device shows that the WiFi is active, the device has a WiFi symbol with what looks like a “cell phone” icon. I’m getting the same WiFi error on my phone telling me that the security is low with this network and it’s telling me to reset my modem and router. I’m assuming that it’s refering to my XP38 but I’m going to reset my home WiFi just to be sure. I’ve tried everything else I can think of...

Is everyone still having problems getting stream vision to work on their i phones? My son in law just got his XQ50 Trail and he can't connect to SV. He's getting the "weak security" message. He even went out and bought a new phone. Pulsar says they thought they had the problem fixed but evidently not. Something to do with the reticle color if that makes any sense. Anybody find a solution? Thanks

Hi, I recently got a Trail XP50 and I am having the same issues. I have been able to connect on my iPhone and on a friends android, however, I will randomly lose connection on both devices. One of the reasons I chose the Pulsar was the streaming feature. I hunted with a friend who had thermal and decided it wasn’t as fun unless everyone can see. I recently went night hunting with my son. My son was piloting and I was watching along on the app... also a nice feature to reduce eye fatigue. We sat in one spot for an hour or so and I didn’t lose connection. We walked to another spot and there was 2 hogs in there and I was able to see them pretty good with my naked eye due to the excellent moon that night. Obviously not as good as with thermal. Well, when I needed it the most, I disconnected randomly and the usual tricks didn’t work.(logging off app, disconnecting WiFi, shutting down phone, etc) I fiddled with it standing in a food plot with 2 big boars within 40 yds for a few minutes and then decided to abandon that plan and let my son go ahead and shoot. He killed both, first one weighed 310 lbs and the small one was 220. He shot that one on the run! My son’s first Thermal kill and I couldn’t see it. I’m pretty disappointed with this known issue. We are pretty much all having the same problem and y’all have been posting about it on this blog for over a month. As much as we have invested in Pulsar, we deserve better. I’m hopeful that Pulsar and Stream-vision can resolve this quickly.

FRUSTRATED!

There is an update to the Phone app that was published recently and it made my download file transfer much more stable. In fact I’ve not had an issue.

I don’t use the Wi-Fi streaming so I can’t comment.

After I made this post there was a second update that I downloaded and I think that second update has created some kind of audio glitch in my iPhone?

When I download a video now and convert it which is my only option if I want to save it to my phone I hear a bunch of static over the sound.

A friend of mine just loaded the app on his phone and his scope/ app / iPhone combination did the same thing.

Is there an issue with the app?

I wished I had just left well enough alone because the whole system worked flawlessly with that first update I mentioned back in April.

Been checking the App Store every few days hoping for an update.

I called SellMark tech-support today and was told they just released an update that should solve the problem.

Now I’ve got to remember to go turn the microphone back on my scope.
