Thanks for letting me join this community. I've been a lurker for sometime. Really enjoy the posts here. Figured it was time to join and contribute.
While I'm an avid deer hunter, my passion is to hunt hogs. I've been hunting for 25 years and acquired my first piece of hunting property last year over in Coleman County. I was fortunate to find a good deal on 170 acres - even more fortunate that it has plenty of deer and hogs. While I've taken a number of hogs already, I am finding they are more nocturnal than I've experienced on other places I've hunted. Finally bit the bullet last month and picked up my first thermal. The information in this forum was the most helpful I've seen out of any other forum online.
Previously used an ATN X-Sight HD - it worked decently but not at the distances I've been shooting in the past year. The thermal (Armasight Zeus 3-24x75mm) is quite an upgrade. Unfortunately, it crapped out within a few hours of using it so it's at FLIR for repair. Doing my best now not to bug FLIR about when they'll fix it heh.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to doing less lurking here and more contributing to discussions.
